"Mountaintop Trail"

30 x 30 inches oil on stretched linen

This is the Appalachian Trail on Roan Mountain in Tennessee on top of Round Bald, Elevation

around 5800'.  Why this grove of Fir trees are here all by themselves I have no idea though they were interesting  to paint.
