Contact: Scott Boyle (704) 860-3803 Date: Saturday, October 14, 2006 Rain Date: Saturday, October 21, 2006 Location of Event: South Mountains State Park Time of Event: 11:00am- 4:00pm Description of Location: South Mountains State Park is the largest State Park in North Carolina located in the West Central part of the state. Some things to paint are Hemlock Nature Trail, Waterfalls, Jacob Fork River, Horse Stable and Barn. Directions: 3001 South Mountain State Park Ave. Connelly Springs, NC 28612. From I-40 Exit 105 NC 18 South. Travel 9 miles and make a Right. Turn onto SR1913 (Sugar Loaf Road) Take SR1913 to old NC18 and turn left. Travel 4 miles and make a right turn onto SR1901 (Ward’s Gap Road) then 1.3 miles make a slight right onto South Mountains Park Ave. Please check in with me between 11 and noon if you can, at the main parking lot at the end of the park road. I will be in a Red Ford pick-up with a camper shell. If you get lost just ask for directions or call the park phone at (828)-433-4772. My cell phone will not work in the park.
*Bring a sack lunch and drink. We will meet at 11 a.m. at the main parking area, and again at 4 p.m. to display our paintings.
