3 Day Plein Air Workshop

Late September is a beautiful time to paint outdoors with cooler temperatures and hint of autumn colors showing.

Join Artist Instructor Scott Boyle for a 3-day plein air workshop hosted by Artist Workshops at R. Y. McAden Memorial Hall in McAdenville, North Carolina.  The theme of Scott’s workshop will be “Lighten your Load and Simplify Your Painting Process” Attendees will use exercises to help improve the fundamental skills of drawing, composition, values (light/shadow), and color. to create stronger outdoor paintings.  The class is open to beginner through intermediate artists and will be most helpful for oil painters but is open to artists using all mediums. This is a plein air workshop where we will be painting outdoors from life each day, weather permitting.

Workshop will run Sep 21-23 Thursday – Saturday 8:30AM – 4PM each day

Max class size 8-10 students
