Beach Painting Sale + Workshop
I am back from my recent painting trip to Holden Beach. Since I don’t have an Art Gallery to represent me on the North Carolina coast I am selling these paintings online. All of these paintings but 1 (“Shayna Michelle”) spent some quality time on my easel back at home. I am selling these at a discount without frames + nc tax if you live in North Carolina.

Below are some of the photos from my April trip to Holden Beach, NC. My wife Esther and I stayed 5 days with many of my kids and their spouses staying with us over the weekend. Some of these shots you can see how far I take some of the plein air paintings while outdoors. Many times when I bring them home I will make changes, color adjustments, add or remove things or strengthen shadows or darks. Most of the time you will only have about 2 hours of consistent light. Some complicated subjects such as buildings, boats and people take more time to finish.

Workshop Description
Take your paints outside with North Carolina landscape painter Scott Boyle for a 2-day plein air workshop in beautiful Blowing Rock, NC. The workshop will consist of a brief lecture, group discussions, outdoor painting demonstrations, and student painting opportunities. Scott will paint 2 demonstration paintings and students will have a chance to complete 2-4 paintings each.
